3 Licensed Practical Nurse Schools in Connecticut
In order for students to qualify for the national examination and in addition to attending an accredited course, students are required to complete 1,500 hours of direct care as well as obtain observational experience.
Furthermore, students will be required to pass a criminal clearance check, prior to having their license issued to them.
In the event that it is found that students committed an act that is in opposition to public health and safety, their license will not be issued.
1) Lincoln Tech
The school has locations in New Britain and Shelton, Connecticut.
This institution offers a Practical Nurse Diploma course consisting of 61 credits.

2. Porter and Chester Institute
Porter and Chester Institute has five locations in Connecticut, including Bridgeport, Enfield, Hamden, Rocky Hill, and Waterbury.
The school offers a Practical Nurse Diploma course which runs for 15 months and is only offered as a day program on Monday through Thursday, from 8 am to 3:30 pm.
This course is offered in a residential format.

The curriculum focuses on teaching students to face challenges in the field through a science-based approach.
Students are prepared for the working world through a series of course materials that covers, amongst other things, anatomy, first-aid, critical thinking, as well as a simulation in on-site laboratories.
Upon successful completion of the course, students are able to register for and attend the NCLEX-PN exam.
3. Stone Academy
Stone Academy has three locations in Connecticut, including East Hartfield, Waterbury, and West Haven.
The school offers a Practical Nursing Diploma course, comprising a total of 106 credits, and runs over 16 months.
